Job Title: Engineer Location: Totowa, NJ Job Code: 07-294 The opportunity has arisen for an Engineer to join this global organization which respects diverse perspectives, experiences and traditions as essential and values each employee’s contribution toward achieving our business objectives. The position will perform electrical safety testing and evaluation, write reports, and communicate with clients. The position will involve: •Developing and setting up test plans •Conducting electrical safety testing on various products to determine compliance with applicable standards •Analyzing and interpreting test data •Preparing technical reports •Communicating project status and test results to clients, sales personnel, and management throughout testing. Providing on-going support to clients as needed. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or the equivalent in terms of education, experience, and training and minimum of one year directly related experience •Demonstrated experience in conducting hands-on electrical safety testing on various products, including Information Technology Equipment, Audio Equipment, Medical Devices, and Laboratory Equipment •Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions •Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables •Ability to make technical decisions and engineering judgments independently within established parameters •Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software •Strong communication and customer service skills •Ability to travel Intertek offers a culture where motivated and customer-oriented employees can flourish, experience professional fulfillment and reach their highest potential.
