Job Summary Under general supervision, performs sales-related activities to support regional sales of switches, relays, sensors and other designated components. Interacts with field sales team and develops influential relationships with distributors, purchasing contacts, sales reps and direct customers. Cultivates and develops NBO’s through the use of sales leads, phone, and internet inquires... Works with the sales channel both internal and external to turn these leads in to new accounts. Performs prioritized and diversified sales tasks for the regional team, including detailed lead tracking and status reporting, quote analysis, and reporting functions. Negotiates directly with all parties and performs detailed follow-up on issues related to new business development, existing accounts and customer service. Serves as liaison between sales field team and other internal departments to enhance external customer experience. Duties and Responsibilities Support divisional sales team on achievement of (and beyond) sales targets Directly assist w/ prospecting/developing new customers within identified geographical territories. Increase sales depth/grow accounts for selected groups of existing small customers. Work closely with field team, distributors and other outside sales representatives; coordinate sales related processes as needed across internal departments, ie customer service, tech support, logistics, to ensure preservation of accounts. Document all activities using the company CRM software or other required documents. Interface with factories abroad to check product manufacturing schedules, availability, shipping and delivery schedules, etc. Learn and continually update general company and divisional product knowledge. Assist customers with product selection, cross-referencing and trouble-shooting. Assessment of customer inventory levels; production of monthly sales forecasting & gen’l reports Provide or facilitate customer quotes; arrange for or provide technical support as may be needed. Research and assemble targeted new business lists; provide lead generation to field team; track lead and customer status. Make initial new business intro calls via phone, e-mail, or other May participate in/provide support for trade shows, web advertising or other media undertakings Other duties as assigned. Qualifications (educational, functional, technical requirements and behavioral competencies): · 4 year business, engineering or other technical, or other related degree required · Previous inside sales experience helpful, preferably with relevant success measures · Technical experience in electronic components industry, also w/ customer contact, preferred. · Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, esp. strong Excel ability. · Strong listening ability, customer focus and service orientation mandatory. · Ability to grasp and internalize team goals/objectives and provide support of divisional plan. · Possesses excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills. · Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and service internal/external clients simultaneously · Proven ability to build relationships and work across functions in an internationally matrixed organization; aggressive bridge-builder between customer needs and internal procedures. · Operates with a bias for smart action; creative solutioning; champions change. · Strong time management and prioritization skills mandatory - · Takes accountability and displays sense-of-urgency professionalism at all times. · Ability to research, analyze, identify and attract potential new business. · Ambitious, enthusiastic self-starter; high initiative driver w/ meticulous follow-up/through skills.
